This explosion-proof socket is used in combination with Allegro Safety's explosion-proof blowers/fans. In particular the models (RA9548-25EX, RA9525-50EX) presented in this site.

This box has the following features:
- Designed for use in hazardous locations with explosion hazards
- Includes an iron housing with a triple layer finish
- A spring-loaded door that prevents dust from entering the outlet when not in use
- Includes a neoprene gasket inside the receptacle that seals the outlet and prevents dirt, water and other foreign matter from entering when the outlet is in use.
