Ago-Sil is a highly texturized silica cloth made of a minimum 96 % amorphous silicon dioxide. A Special treatment reduces dusting and improves handling and abrasion resistance.

Ago-Sil has a melt temperature exceeding 3100F. It provides sustained protection against high heat conditions and is highly resistant to molten metal plash.

Ago-Sil has superior thermal insulating properties enhanced by a high moisture absorption capacity which adds to it insulation capabilities without degradation of properties.

It has a rapid heat dissipation factor and a very low thermal conductivity. Ago-Sil offers excellent electrical resistance. As well, it has an excellent resistance to and compatibility with most chemicals.

Ago-Sil is very flexible with excellent drapability and offers a wide versatility of use in industry with a service temperature to 2000 F. Application include drop curtains for hot work such as welding and burning, thermal and electrical insulation, stress relieving and curtains in front for furnace and oven openings.

A host of miscellaneous jobs as tray covers, pipe lagging, belting and sleeves, etc., can be handled by this high temperature cloth.

Blankets fabricated to any size with stitched seams and hems on all four sides, using high temperature aramid thread. Optional brass grommets can be installed on custom blankets if required.
